A really good cup of tea, pasta (and lots of it), the Great British Sewing Bee, golden hour and dogs in sunglasses are just a few of the little things in life that bring me joy.

I am a writer, social media manager and podcast producer who specialises in working with chart-topping, award-winning authors, podcasters, creatives and brands to help them show up online.

I graduated in 2015 with a performing arts degree and spent my early twenties working in marketing in corporate London, before switching gears to support local businesses in the heart of my community in Kent. I yearned to write creatively and work for myself, but I had no idea where to start and no confidence to see it through.

In the summer of 2020, I was furloughed. It was as if the universe knew that I needed space to reevaluate, to acknowledge that something needed to change. Within days, I bumped into an ex colleague while putting my bins out (so glam) who offered me my first freelance copywriting job there and then.

Soon enough, it became clear that I needed to make a decision: register as self-employed, trust in my craft as a writer and hope that I would be able to pay my rent every month, or go back to the full time job that was waiting for me. I chose the former.

I’m almost four years into my freelance career now, working with some of the very best people on the most creatively fulfilling projects. I work far fewer hours than I used to as a burnt out London commuter and I’m always growing and evolving to meet new challenges.

BLIMEY. I think I need a cup of tea and a sit down…

"Lauren has helped me navigate the frightening enormity and terror of social media with calm, grace, humour and insight. I think I would be a significantly more sane person now if I'd employed her sooner. She has done nothing less than transform my working life, though I'm nervous of recommending her too enthusiastically, in case I become small-fry for her. Given her talent, this might be inevitable."
